Child Welfare Provider Inclusion Act
This bill would allow child welfare service providers to refuse to provide any service that violates their religious beliefs, regardless of the best interest of the child. It applies to organizations, corporations, and individuals, even if they receive government funding, and allows for refusals for a broad range of services, including: placing children in adoption or foster homes, licensing foster homes, providing counseling to children and parents, promoting and assisting in adoptions, and supporting adoptive families.
