Reforming the Rules for Partnerships Between Government and Faith-Based Social Service Organizations
On August 6, 2015, nine federal agencies introduced proposed rules to modify their regulations governing partnerships between the government and faith-based social service organizations. Although each agency’s proposed regulations differed, the proposed regulations generally strengthened and clarified protections for the beneficiaries of the social services. On May 31, 2016, these agencies released their final rules.
